Hélène has lived and worked in several European countries throughout her career. Currently, she is based with her family in France where she represents the French patient advocacy for ELBCC.

Despite her annual mammographies, Hélène faced a delayed diagnosis of lobular breast cancer at the age of 48. Being a strong promotor of self advocacy by patients, Hélène has a special interest in translating scientific research outcomes into easy accessible fact sheets and education material for patients. In her day job, she works as a teacher in special education.
