LOBSTERPOT. An ELBCC initiative funded by COST

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding organisation for research and innovation networks.

COST Actions help connect research initiatives across Europe and beyond and enable researchers and innovators to grow their ideas in any science and technology field by sharing them with their peers. COST Actions are bottom-up networks with a duration of four years that boost research, innovation and careers.”

Our Action (CA19138) has been published at COST and is now open for interested parties to join, either as a Management Committee nominee, or as a LOBSTERPOT participant. In case of applying as a Management Committee nominee, you need to contact your COST National Contact (CNC), who will review your application and add your nomination and Country.

We are aiming at participation of at least ALL ELBCC countries, ideally expanding to currently not included EU countries and other International Partners from the US, Canada, Australia, etc.

If your country is currently not listed as a participating country, you’ll have to go through your CNC, which are listed here. Early career scientists are encouraged to participate!!

Please spread the word to your peers at meetings, seminars and on social media using #CA19139, #LOBSTERPOT, #COST.

If your country is already represented in the LOBSTERPOT and you want to participate, please send a mail to info@elbcc.org with the subject heading CA19138

The inaugural Action meeting will take place as a virtual meeting on October 29-30 2020. Details will be released later, but the 1st meeting is set to elect the Managing Committee (Chair, vice-Chair, Work Group Leaders (6), the Grant Holder Scientific Representative and a Science Communications Manager.

A designated website has been launched on November 12 2021.
