Activities
The Functional Biology Working Groups (formerly the Models WG) represents a close-nit group that has been productive from the start of the ELBCC in 2018. They have published a seminar paper, a Tour de Force first-authored by Georgios Flomos (EFPL) in which the current state of affairs were culminated in the ATLAS OF LOBULAR BREAST CANCER MODELS.

Members from the UMC Utrecht (Derksen lab) have published a paper in THE JOURNAL OF PATHOLOGY showing that Afadin (AFDN), represents a new ILC invasion suppressor. They show that Afadin confers invasion suppression through stabilization of the E-cadherin to F-actin link through the α-catenin binding CC domain.
